I see GoogleMaps as a great tool for an online community.
It’s possible for individuals in the community to highlight and explain different geographical parts of said community on a public map. They can also complement that info with photos or video.
Here’s a user guide to Google Maps explaining the different features we can utilize.
Below is a map I did, which highlights a location and displays a YouTube video related to the location.
If this is stuff you all already know about, I’m sorry. But at least applaud the fact that I learned something!
